Welcome to Togolese Nurses Association

TNA-IL is an association of Togolese Nurses living in Illinois, and working various healthcare settings. Said association is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including the organization and delivery of healthcare missions to Togo and other African regions. TNA-IL is a not-for-profit organization operating within the provisions of section 501© 3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

Our Goals

  • Secure funding through fundraising , donations and grants to support TNA-IL programs
  • Foster educational a professional growth among Togolese and African Nurses living in USA through networking and mentoring.
  • Unite all Togolese and African Nurses in Illinois and the USA towards promoting the highest standards of professional practice, educational, cultural advancement and socio-economic stability.
  • Provide forum or avenue where Togolese and African Nurses in Illinois/USA to speak with one voice and uphold the international code of nursing ethics.
  • Promote and support the laws and reforms on matters affecting Nursing.
  • Collaborate with other Organizations in addressing current issues of healthcare in Togo and developing countries such as but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, communicable diseases, mental health, Women and children health, geriatric and rural health.

Our Vison

To be recognized nationally and internationally as an advocacy group that promotes high professional standard among Togolese working in the Nursing Field. To promote healthy lifestyles changes in the African community in Illinois and in Africa. To empower them through education, health promotion and access to  quality healthcare services.

Assist Togolese and African community in making healthy lifestyle changes necessary by providing information needed to make informed decisions.
